With all my travels, I occasionally fall a bit behind on the latest news, such as the exciting announcement that the final resting place of Cleopatra and Mark Antony may have been located.
Our current exhibition, To Live Forever: Egyptian Treasures from the Brooklyn Museum, has reignited what was for me, and many others, one of the earliest fascinations of childhood, Ancient Egypt.
The story of Antony and Cleopatra has become almost mythological. Lovers whoc killed themselves after suffering military defeat , he with his sword and her with the help of a poisonous asp clutched to her chest.
