Follow the adventures of CMA’s Art Escapes tour, which is currently in London with internationally renowned curator Ann Dumas.
Greetings from across the pond. Today the CMA Art Escapes group visited the Royal Academy in London with Ann Dumas for a private tour of her new exhibition “Degas and the Ballet.” Afterwards we visited the state rooms and the Academy’s life drawing classroom with the gentleman responsible for the building’s restoration. Later at Ashmoleon Museum, Henry Kim, the director for the Ashmoleon Museum restoration project, told the CMA Art Escapes group that after their addition and reinstallation, attendance increased nearly four-fold. Like CMA, Oxford’s Ashmoleon is committed to finding new ways to connect art and people.
