Great essay; really enjoyed it! Halloween has never been my favorite, but being creative has. I like your ideas and your take on it. Thank you!

HI,

Very inspiring essay. Love that people are still making their own costumes...that was they way it was when I was a kid. I loved the gypsy....can rings for my bracelets...your ironing board and laundry basket really funny...and original! I liked the other two ideas too...creative, simple and cheap....last year (at the campground in August without any costume handy) I went as the Louisana Oil
Slick. I smeared my face with Vegemite...cut a black trash bag in strips and tied it to my head. I had a friend dressed in a fisherman's slicker chase me over the stage with a broom....it was pretty funny...and made a point I hope.

Well written! Loved the paragraph about allowing the kiddo to be the creative designer instead of the other way around! So true for Halloween, & maybe even on a daily basis. Great food for thought to keep us parents in our place...letting kids be kids while developing their confidence & ideas. Enjoyable read!

This is sooo creative & adorable!! A refreshing break from the freaky horror costumes that are often associated with Halloween - it puts a smile on your face (much like their own). Kudos to hubby for being a grat sport!
