Celebrate at CMA! Enjoy Dia de los Muertos folk art throughout October and into the beginning of November with programs below.
Saturdays in October, 1:00 PM- 4:00 PM
Examine past memories of home and make new ones at CMA. Cost is included with general admission, no registration requested. At the October 5 Open Studio, join guest artist Renee Zamora to build a community ofrenda (alter) installation for Day of the Dead, and design your own reflection candle.
Community Conversation on Memory
October 20, 2:00 – 4:00 PM
How do we honor friends and family members who have passed on? Join CMA and members of our community in an honest and meaningful conversation about death, memory and tradition, grieving, transition, and the origins of Día de los Muertos. Join Latino Arts for Humanity and community partners for a panel discussion, followed by an opportunity for guests to reflect upon and explore these topics in small groups. This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, pre-registration is requested.
Day of the Dead Community Event

Dia de los Muertos Community Celebration
November 2, 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Latino Arts for Humanity and CMA celebrate Day of the Dead with dancing and live music with Al Son Del Iya, art-making, a community offrenda, craft cocktails & tasty bites. Cost of the program is $10 for nonmembers, $5 for members.
