ENDOWMENT MATTERS
Among American art museums, revenue from endowment funds provides, on average, 25% of operating expenses. For the Columbus Museum of Art, just 9% of the current operating budget comes from endowment revenue.
A robust endowment, which provides dependable revenue year after year, will ensure that future generations continue to enjoy great experiences at the Columbus Museum of Art.
SPACE MATTERS
The Museum will enhance and enrich the visitor’s experience with:
- innovative learning centers
- community outreach programs
- art and educational collaborations
- renovated outdoor spaces
- interactive art satellites
- art court for special events
We envision a 150,000-square-foot facility with new space to accommodate, the Museum’s outstanding collection, world-renowned exhibitions, as well as larger public and community events. Among Ohio museums, the Columbus Museum of Art ranks smallest in size.
