The
Columbus Museum of Art offers numerous opportunities for parents
and children to spend time and learn together. Current programs
include:

The ProMusica Chamber Orchestra and the Columbus Museum of Art present
an exciting new series of afternoon concerts and tours for 6-12
year olds and their families and friends. On Sunday afternoons throughout
the year, ProMusica will perform a 45-minute concert in conjunction
with current exhibitions. A guest host will provide notes and answer
questions about the composers, instruments, and art and music of
the time. Before and after the concert, explore the related exhibition

Take your troop to the Museum to earn an Eye Spy: Adventures in
Art patch. Explore the exhibition, get a head start on related Girl
Scout badges, and participate in hands-on activities. For details,

Families are invited to drop by every Saturday between 1 and 3 p.m.
to doodle with various art materials. Self-guided activities are
designed for children ages 6-12 years old. Meet in the Nationwide
Studio within Eye Spy. Free with Museum admission. Call 221-6801,

Participate in special activities just for preschoolers and their
favorite adults every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.. Listen to an artfully
illustrated story, view original artworks, and participate in an
art activity with the Eye Spy gallery attendants. Meet in the Nationwide

This special event for children ages 3-5 and their favorite adults
takes place the first Saturday of each month. Hands-on workshops
led by art teachers Susan Couden, Carol Cruickshank, and Greg Walton
begin every half-hour from 10 am to 12:30 p.m. Free with Museum

Share a quality art experience with a 6-8 year-old child. Hand-in-Hand
adult/child teams explore concepts of art and experiment with art
processes to make cool stuff! Classes meet one Sunday each month
from 2-4 p.m. $10 member adult/child teams, $15 nonmember adult/child
