Our Think Outside the Brick exhibition returns with a group exhibition of innovative new work by artists who use LEGO® brand building blocks. Think Outside the Brick is presented by CMA’s Center for Creativity, and features exhibitions and programs that demonstrate the tremendous creative capacity of LEGO®. The exhibition will also include the winners of our 2013 LEGO@ DESIGN CHALLENGE.

What can you make with an assortment of all-white LEGO® bricks? Build your creation and share it with others on the walls of the Center for Creativity.

Dispatchworks
Saturday, November 9, 1:00-4:00 pm
Bring your friends and family for an afternoon of repairing damaged buildings in the city using LEGO® bricks. Artist Jan Vormann says he developed the Dispatchwork concept as a way “to seal fissures in broken walls worldwide,” and to add color to the city. The artist has invited anyone in any place to participate in the project. Tag your photos of the day on Instagram with #legocolumbus.

2013 LEGO@ DESIGN CHALLENGE
The 2013 LEGO@ DESIGN CHALLENGE, presented by the Center for Creativity at the Columbus Museum of Art, is a design competition that promotes the creative and original use of LEGO® bricks. Design finalists will be exhibited at the Columbus Museum of Art November 8, 2013 – January 5, 2014 in conjunction with our Think Outside the Brick exhibition.
Deadline for submissions: October 1, 2013.
