Loud & Proud at CMA

(Columbus, OH) – Join Columbus Museum of Art (CMA) for the Loud & Proud Launch Party previewing CMA’s first ever LGBTQ and Allied membership Friday, September 28 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. Entrance to the party is free, thanks to the generosity of presenting sponsors Equitas Health and Prizm Magazine. In addition to light refreshments, the Loud & Proud Launch Party will feature surprise performances, including an appearance by Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus, and live creations by community members and Columbus-based artists.

“Sold,” a perfume salesman by day, will design one of the evenings live creations. “Sold” pulls inspiration for his process by wearing perfume and submerging himself in music, a synesthetic experience that allows him to tap into his emotions to inform his work. View his work on Instagram @sold_artist. Columbus-based artist Bryan Moss will also design and install a live creation. View his work at www.theartofbryanmoss.com or on Instagram @strangethingsmoss.

During the Loud & Proud Launch Party, the Museum Store will feature a trunk show of Design With Heart Stationary by Jason Bradley-Krauss. All Loud & Proud party guests will receive 20% off all purchases. Design With Heart is an artful line of paper goods inspired by a simple but powerful premise: love is love. Design With Heart says all the things that people want to say, no matter who they are or who they love.

CMA Loud & Proud memberships include free admission to CMA, CMA’s collection, CMA’s special exhibitions, free parking, and discounts in the Museum Store, and Schokko Café. In addition, Loud & Proud members receive invitations to two annual cocktail parties and three evening tours led by local drag personalities, docents and leaders in the community. Loud & Proud and Allied membership founding sponsors are Dickinson Wright, Envisage Wealth, Equitas Health, Prizm Magazine, Lindsay Gallery, Brandt-Roberts Galleries and Sherrie Gallerie. Media sponsor is Sophisticated Living.

CMA’s collection encompasses artists from diverse backgrounds telling inclusive stories about the human experience. With our Loud & Proud members, CMA will highlight LGBTQ artists as well as art with subject matter relevant to the LGBTQ community. CMA is proud of our LGBTQ artists. We’re proud of our collection. We’re proud to create a great experience with great art for the LGBTQ community who we invite to be loud and proud at CMA!
