CMA Photo Hunt Reception

Join us for a reception celebrating CMA Photo Hunt photographers’ second Instragram exhibition. CMA was the first museum in the world to present an exhibition of curated, crowdsourced photos generated by the popular photo app Instagram. For our second exhibition, CMA gave photographers assignments based on our Making Faces exhibition that explores portraiture from our permanent collection. Our William and Sarah Ross Soter Curator of Photography Catherine Evans selected her favorite images and her top picks are featured in the Community Gallery at CMA’s Center for Creativity. This reception is free and open to the public, however space is limited. Please reserve tickets here

Art Book Club

Are you an avid reader? Join CMA Director Nannette Maciejunes for a discussion of Life Class by Pat Barker. Every Art Book Club includes a conversation with Nannette followed by group discussion. Whenever possible, ABC authors join the conversation via phone or Skype. Art Book Club selections are available for purchase in the Museum Store. Cost of Art Book Club is $5 for nonmembers, FREE for members. Advance reservations are appreciated. Please call 614.221.6801 to reserve your seat.

Doodles

Enjoy fun, interactive gallery activities and create unique art projects together. In January, get into craft fair mode and design multiples of an object to sell or trade. This program is recommended for families with children ages 5 and older. Family programs are supported by Cardinal Health Foundation. Free with admission, no registration requested.

Learning to Look Tour

Take a stroll through the galleries accompanied by a CMA docent and learn more about our collection and special exhibitions. Learning to Look and The Inside Story are two, new ways of exploring the Museum on a tour. Interested in hearing anecdotes and inside stories about works of art, artists, and the Museum?
