Game Show 6

It's the return of the Halloween edition of Game Show, and nothing is what it seems! The only thing you can be sure of is that you'll have a good time competing in hands-on creative challenges for fabulous prizes. Don't worry if you're too shy to get on stage. Nutty scenarios and wacky characters will inspire and entertain you. Local artists, comedians, and businesses partner with CMA's Center for Creativity to set the stage, but the audience makes Game Show the most unpredictable show in Columbus. Creative Educator Workshop

Once again we've partnered with CCAD to present this daylong Creative Educator Workshop. How can Project Based Learning prepare your students for life? In Project Based Learning teachers facilitate student exploration of real world problems, questions and challenges that matter. This dynamic approach to education provokes your students to develop essential 21st century skills and apply content knowledge. During this professional development workshop learn strategies and gain tools to expand your students' learning. Ignite your students' curiosity and critical thinking through Project Based Learning. Keynote presenter - Todd Elkin. Todd is an artist/art educator currently living in Oakland, CA. A central tenet of Elkin's philosophy is the idea that contemporary artists are proactive, engaged critical actors who give shape to and interact with worlds via their artistic practice. Todd is a high school art teacher, has been tapped by the California College of the Arts to coach teachers in designing interdisciplinary arts-integrated curriculum. In addition he serves as a faculty member of the Project Zero Classroom and the Future of Learning summer institutes put on by the Graduate School of Education at Harvard University.

The $40 registration includes a keynote presentation, two mini-sessions of your choice, ideas and materials for your classroom, as well as coffee and a light breakfast. Online registration http://www.ccad.edu/events-2012/ed-workshop. Space is limited.
