Join us for Summer Fun with free admission in July and August made possible by funding by PNC Arts Alive. Experience our world-class collection and dynamic Center for Creativity including the hands-on Wonder Room.

Discover exhibitions to talk about
• Street Talk and Spiritual Matters: Aminah’s Mt. Vernon Avenue featuring the work of beloved local artist Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson.
• Don’t Eat the Art a family-friendly show focusing on food in art that includes a Scratch & Sniff scavenger hunt and interactive games.
• Stephanie Syjuco: Pattern Migration, a mind-bending exhibition on immigration, cultural identity, labor and more.

Enjoy family-friendly activities, like guided Family Adventures tours and Art Challenges. Or the August 4th Columbus Parent Day.

Art Challenges

Every Sunday and Friday
1:00 – 3:00 PM
Visit the Art Challenges station in the galleries to participate in exciting, art-based games that highlight a CMA artwork or collection. Compete against friends and family members, or challenge the scores posted by other visitors. All are welcome to participate and prizes are part of the fun!

Family Adventures Tours

Tuesdays
1:00 – 3:00 PM
Share ideas, laugh, and play games during this docent-guided experience. Your family team may embark on a scavenger hunt, imagine yourselves inside a painting, or discover a work of art that tells a family story. Family Adventures are a great way to share quality time and make new memories together.

Mind Games

Wednesdays
1:00 – 3:00 PM
The Columbus Museum of Art invites you to challenge yourself– creatively! Stop by our Mind Games station to play, experiment, problem solve, and win prizes.

Community Capers

Thursdays
1:00 – 2:00 PM
Meet and learn about some terrific central Ohio organizations and individuals who work with 3D art (July) and food (August).

Surprise Supplies Saturdays

Saturdays
1:00 – 3:00 PM
Play and create with a unique assortment of art supplies and funky materials.

Museum on the Move!

Museum on the Move! is a community outreach program sponsored by CMA. The education staff provides creative art activities for families at various festivals, events and locations throughout Central Ohio. June – September is an especially busy time for this lively program. Look for Museum on the Move! at locations near you. Special thanks to Cardinal Health Foundation, a major sponsor of CMA’s Museum on the Move outreach.

Summer Art Workshops

A creative summer full of imagination, art and play awaits students entering grades Pre-K-8! This year CMA is excited to be featuring all-day workshops and a wider age-group. Workshoppers will have the opportunity to do everything from busting Museum myths to joining a rock band! For more information and registration click here.
