Majestic Spain, October 3-14, 2013 Director’s Trip
Join CMA Executive Director Nannette Maciejunes for a fascinating tour of Spain’s most majestic locations: the Prado Museum in Madrid, the Alhambra in Granada, la Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, and Toledo—the city of three cultures. We’ll discover artistic treasures from the old masters of Western Europe to the contemporary art scene in Barcelona. Because Spain was for centuries a melting pot of cultural diversity, we will visit Renaissance towns, Moorish mosques and markets, ancient Jewish synagogues, Gothic cathedrals, a fishing village, and an eleventh-century monastery on top of a mountain. There is an optional day-long excursion to Bilbao. Group size is limited. There are still a few spaces left, but don’t delay. More information on the current Art Escape trip here or contact Nancy Turner at 614-629-0301.
Holland and the Old Masters, April 9-19, 2014
Join CMA Executive Director Nannette Maciejunes and discover Holland and the Old Masters. Art Escapes has teamed up with International Barging Tours and chartered our own, private 12-cabin barge. Explore unique Dutch villages off the beaten path, learn about the great Dutch painters, and view the landscape that inspired the Old Masters. The itinerary includes the renowned Keukenhof Gardens, the newly renovated Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, the Kröller-Müller Museum (the largest private collection of works by van Gogh) in Otterlo, the Porceleyne Fles Pottery in Delft, the Mauritshuis in the Hague, and the Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem. The cost of the trip excluding airfare is $3,450. Space is limited. A deposit of $1,700 is due by September 14 to hold your place on the trip. For more in information, click here. Or for questions and additional details, please contact Nancy Turner at 614.629.0301.
