About the Speakers

Gina Osterloh cites her experiences as a multiracial Filipino American woman in Ohio as a set of formative experiences that led her to photography, larger questions of perception, and how a viewer perceives difference and sameness. As a multi-disciplinary artist Osterloh uses photography, video, performance, and sculpture in ways that interrogate the boundaries of a body and preconceived notions of identity. Osterloh is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Art at Ohio State University.
