Please join the Museum in welcoming artists Gina Osterloh and Sheilah (Wilson) ReStack in conversation as they explore the deeper symbolism and visual strategies featured in Osterloh's solo exhibition Gina Osterloh: Mirror, Shadow, Shape now on view. Osterloh will share an overview of her work featured in the exhibition before they begin a lively conversation, which will feature questions moderated by Sheilah ReStack.

About the Artists
Sheilah (Wilson) ReStack is an artist born in Caribou River, Nova Scotia and currently living in Columbus, Ohio with her wife and children. ReStack’s work is a feminist investigation into photographic images as one of the possible materials for imagining desire, motherhood and queer family into the world. ReStack is currently Chair and Associate Professor Art at Denison University.

Osterloh cites her experiences as a multiracial Filipino American woman in Ohio as a set of formative experiences that led her to photography, larger questions of perception, and how a viewer perceives difference and sameness. As a multi-disciplinary artist Gina uses photography, video, performance, and sculpture in ways that interrogate the boundaries of a body and preconceived notions of identity. Gina Osterloh is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at Ohio State University.

This program is a hybrid experience with an in-person talk and a virtual Zoom session. Check back to this page to tune-in to the virtual experience on the event date.
