In this holiday-themed lecture, David Stark, chief curator, looks at depictions of the Christmas story in art, including examples from the CMA’s permanent collection and works from other museums. See the striking range of styles used to portray the Annunciation, the Adoration, the Gifts of the Magi, and other episodes of the story that have inspired viewers of the past and still resonate with today’s audiences. Selections of Christmas-themed music accompany the lecture. Cost of the program is $20 for nonmembers (includes general admission) and $5 for CMA members. Questions, please call 614.629.0359.
