2018 Summer Art Workshops at CMA
Play, experiment and create with us! Summer Art Workshops in CMA’s JPMorgan Chase Center for Creativity encourage the exploration of ideas through imaginative play, exploration of art materials, and lively gallery games for students in preschool through eighth grade.

Entering Preschool
(must be at least 3years old)

Explore the city and its neighborhoods – from big buildings to tiny treasures – discover what makes you and the city you live in so special.

Write and crack codes, create disguises, and unravel mysteries in the museum as you train to be spies and secret agents.

Opposites and Inbetweens

What if you were as small as an ant or as tall as a tree? What if you lived underground or up in the sky? What if you were a super hero or a super villain? What other opposites will you explore?

Imagine and create magical landscapes and the creatures and characters that live there.

Students entering 6th-8th grade

Take a table-top adventure and invent your own board games, card games, games of chance, and games of skill.

Instructor: Bryan Moss
Experiment with new techniques, unexpected materials, and interesting art forms while you create unique and unconventional comics and graphic novels.

Full Day (Students entering grades 2-8, Monday-Friday, 9 am-4 pm)
